Most of our breeding this year is with 502. I have always liked Topbrass for his consistency in laying the muscle down the top of a goat. Everywhere you go, if you find a Topbrass animal, you can bet it is going to be nice. I have to thank Valton & Nancy Sudderth for putting this one together, the genetics really go deep. We purchased 502 and 491 (a full sister) at the Sudderth’s retirement sale in March 08 and we already have amazing kids out both of them on the ground in January.

One day I was walking through Dr. Gary Vannoy’s buck pen in Ozona and I saw this really nice kid. He was nothing extreme, but he was really balanced and clean. I ask him if I could breed a Freightrain doe to him for a flush. He said that sounded good if he could get a pick out of the buck kids – well, I got 1 buck kid. I had to call Doc and give him the news that I really wanted to keep this kid. He said name him Doc. This kid is one of the most clean hided animals I have seen and really carries alot of muscle throughout. We are looking forward to seeing his first kids late February.

Captain Bingo
I have known Dr. Bob Dressler for a long time, if you have seen his new logo then you’ve seen some of my work. Anyway, he got the breeding rights to Captain Marvel from the same sale that 502 & 491 came from in March 08. I had to go down to his place to deliver a logo sign I had done for the Duncan’s that he was going to take to them. Of course, when you go you have to go look at the goats. I was seeing alot of nice kids that I thought must be out of Main Event, but no they were from Captain Marvel. He had a set of buck kids born in September that had just been weaned, I picked one out and brought him home. He went straight in a pen of doe kids, so we are looking forward to seeing some of his kids this summer.
